Username: Prue
Name of your Character: Prudence "Prue" Steward
Who the character represents: Lady Prudence, Majordomo & Lady of Honor to Princess Cinderella. She appears in Disney's Cinderella II: Dreams Come True, Cinderella III: A Twist in Time, & will most likely appear in the upcoming volume of Disney Princess: Enchanted Tales starring Cinderella and Mulan.
Character's history:
As she had been in her animated past life, Prue was yet again born prematurely. Yet again, she was born in January instead of March, thus making her a true Capricorn that "should" have been a Pisces. She was born into a fairly wealthy family. Her parents both had high paying jobs, and her older brother was considered a prodigy. Prudence, a thin and sickly little girl, was expected to never amount to much.
She proved the medical inspectors wrong. She was a very sociable, active, intelligent, and graceful little girl. People began to take notice, and she had entered the 1st grade by the age of four. However, Prue was also a very bossy and insecure child. She was constantly making others cry, insisting that everything be done the "right" way, be it making a tower from blocks or coloring within the lines. Thus, Prudence found it rather hard to make friends. No one cared what she was capable of. They knew very well that she thought she was better than the others.
However, she did manage to form a few very close friendships. One particular little boy, Myron, was confided to a wheelchair during his first seven years of life. Being more free from prejudice in her youngest years than she would ever be again, Prudence saw past Myron's inabilities (and general "dorkiness") and became his greatest companion. There was a two year age difference between the two, with Myron being the older. Because Myron was also advanced in his classes, the friends didn't see each other in school as much as they would have liked.
While in elementary school, Prudence began to work. Though her family was, as aforementioned, well-off, she felt she had to work to assert herself. She tried a number of jobs, from junior librarian to paper delivery girl to lunch lady assistant. As an assistant to the cafeteria ladies, she met Cindy. At first, the two got off to a rocky start. Prue accused Cindy of sneaking into the cafeteria during school hours to get out of some kind of trouble. This lead to Prue finding herself headfirst in a bucket of tomatoes-- again. (If you've seen Cinderella III, you'll understand the reference.)
Nevertheless, Prue and Cindy ended up becoming best friends. True, Prue was the younger one in this lifetime, if by only one year. Because her best friends were older than she, Prudence felt that she had to prove herself-- which annoyed people, but those who actually cared about her stayed loyal.
In junior high, Prudence was diagnosed with eating disorders, and had to leave school for a time. When she returned, she found that her popularity had dramatically decreased. She became a more hardened and reserved person to cover up her hurt.
We join Prue Steward as a proudly independent 15-year-old senior. Now, most assume she is 17 because of her tall height, her airs, and the fact that she simply looks older than she is. Prue is Cindy's unofficial bodyguard, so to speak. Like Cindy, she is on the cheer squad, although Prue is a base cheerleader and continually proves herself as not the cheerleader stereotype. She is popular enough, in her mind. Her "duty" is to protect those at the top of the popular circle from the mean girls who would wish to dethrone them-- and she will resort to physical force if need be.

Roleplay Sample:
(From roleplaying the adult, animated Prudence.)
"This shall simply be the grandest birthday celebration his majesty has ever seen," Prudence muttered to herself, voice dry with sarcasm. She knew very well that Cinderella had invited those of the lower classes- again. Though the King didn't mind, Prudence secretly kept her share of prejudices. Too much was happening too fast for the staid woman. To her surprise, an immediate thought to tell Cinderella her own feelings came to the surface. She quickly shot it down. It would only strain their new friendship. Besides, a number of ridiculous parties could be endured so long as the Grand Duke kept her company.
Prudence shook her head and laughed. "Hard-headed and soft-hearted," she thought, "That's the woman I've become. Ah, well, her highness deserves some loyalty. The least I can do is help her plan the arrangements so that Lady Tremaine and Drizella will have too many difficulties getting through the castle doors."

Why do you think you deserve this character?:
I have had experience playing her before, although not in this incarnation. Essentially, I have lived out her modern life myself, as Prudence is the animated character I am -most- like.
Anything else you may need:
Just so you know, some of the events in Prue Steward's life are loosely based on events in my own life. I hope that is allowed. =}
Myron represents the Grand Duke, although at (an academically advanced and socially impaired) 17, he has already graduated from high school.
